New Trancecast Episode & Other Music Goodness

New Trancecast Episode & Other Music Goodness

posted: 25 Aug 12 in Music

So I have finally got together a new Trancecast episode after over a year's hiatus. The new episode is my favourite to date, with a blend of deep progressive, tech, melodic, and uplifting. I think I'm especially happy with the general progression and, dare I use the term 'journey'. Over the past year, I have been moving towards a more underground and less... 0 comments | Read more.

Forget Trance 2.0, Trance zero is back!

Forget Trance 2.0, Trance zero is back!

Let me preface this post with the affirmation that I love trance music in all shapes and forms. I have an almost unhealthy obsession with it honestly. However my heart truly lies in the most pure of trance music. It's what I fell in love with all those years ago, and it's what strikes my emotions the strongest today. Amongst a sea of mainstream trance music, the... 8 comments | Read more.

As featured on Abduzeedo's Daily Inspiration #574: Here's a free trance wallpaper for your desktops that I put together. This is the first of what I hope will be many free wallpapers for you to download. This one's all about the gear us trance DJs use/used. The letters in the word trance are made up of various bits of DJ'ing equipment, records, speakers, mixers,... 6 comments | Read more.

This weekend I'll be stepping to the decks for my first gig at the newly launched event, ZEN at Favela Nightclub in Kings Cross. I'm really looking forward to this one for several reasons. Not only am I playing a 2 hour set, but I'll also be playing earlier in the night. The event focuses on the deeper sounds earlier in the night anyway, so this is the perfect... 0 comments | Read more.

Next week, Friday the 19th of November, I'll be making my return to club performances with a feature set at United Colours Of Trance at ARQ Nightclub. I've had a few months off to spend time with my family and celebrate the birth of our second baby! I'm really excited to be back to performing again, and am really pleased that my return gig is at United Colors... 2 comments | Read more.

The second in my free wallpapers series. Hope you like it! This is a bright and colourful wallpaper to freshen up your computer's desktop. This one's an experiment with simple layering in Photoshop using Overlays and textures. The deepest background layers are interlaced lines that have been covered with a rainbow gradient overlay. That's then replicated and a... 0 comments | Read more.

Trancecast 023 - Productions Showcase

posted: 13 Sep 10 in Music

I'm really excited to be able to share with you a special episode of my Trancecast podcast show. The episode is a diversion from my regular format of showcasing a mixture of tunes from around the world, and instead is an episode focused on my own productions from the past several years. This 'productions showcase' episode means a lot to me as it is the... 0 comments | Read more.

Raise The Price Of Digital Downloads

Raise The Price Of Digital Downloads

posted: 24 Jul 10 in Music

What? Am I crazy? Well, maybe, but that has nothing to do with this post. Why should stores charge more for digital downloads? Easy, to make up for the fact that they would no longer be selling as many tunes. Why would they be selling less tunes? Well, this is the crux of my post: There's too many under produced, unoriginal tracks being sold online. If, like... 6 comments | Read more.

My New Web Site Is Finally Here!

My New Web Site Is Finally Here!

posted: 22 Jul 10 in General

OK, so I have been promising my new web site for a long, long time. It's kind of ironic that I'm a web developer and designer by trade, yet have had the most difficulty in building my own site over the past 24 months. Really, it comes down to the fact that I lead an incredibly busy life, with fingers in many pies, so to speak. Rather than wait until I had a... 3 comments | Read more.

About My Blog

This is my blog. I built it from scratch. I am not a huge fan of Word Press, which I feel has become rather bloated and messy these days. My blog is the heart of my web site, and is my main method of being connected to you guys and the wider web.

My blog will be a source of many things from my DJ related music news, podcast episodes, sporting results and a showcase of my latest designs. Beyond that, I'll be posting things that are on my mind: Things I find motivational; health and lifestyle tips; musings about the issues of society; or wonderful news about space exploration.

If you haven't realised yet, my blog is about lots of stuff. There's no theme here. Just the musings from inside my head!
